Brief Summary: This course presents the fundamentals of biomedical digital signals. Topics include data acquisition, filtering, feature extraction, and modeling with examples from cardiology, speech processing and polisomnographic recordings.
The presentation starts with an introduction to biomedical signals. Second part of the course will be dedicated to applications of biomedical signal processing in sleep and sleep breathing disorders.

Location: M-ITI's classroom, Tuesday at 2PM-4PM

Short bio: Antonio Gabriel Ravelo García (Phd) is a researcher and docent in the Department of Signal and Communications at University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He has participated in different research projects and has published numerous papers in scientific journals and conferences. His research interests include biomedical signal processing, nonlinear signal analysis, data mining and sensor based systems.
