Exonero Lda (Madeira) are looking for a gap-year student or new graduate who will work on the three projects we have going which will be hosted in Madeira. Namely - Biofind.com, BCToolkit.com and First2Game.com
We would provide an intern stipend equivalent to £10,000 for the period of a year, plus travel to and from Madeira.
During this year we would like the student to come to KMP in Manchester to learn about web development and community management. We would help arrange suitable accommodation in Manchester/Stockport. During the year he/she will also have periods working in Madeira looking after company, technical and administration issues. After he has finished the internship there may be an opportunity to work full time for the company in Madeira.
The candidates we are looking for will be self motivated, intuitive learners who have a passion for the internet, web2.0 and web communities.
From a technical perspective the candidate need not have particular skills in any particular programming language but experience of one of the following is a must PHP, Java, classic ASP or .net along with an appreciation of CSS and web standards. In addition they will have experience of using SQL to query a relational database. Experience of using a CMS system would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
• Developing code to a fulfil a specified scope of work
• Feed into the design process
• Feed into the process of constant improvements
• Report to the head of technology
