Dear Colleagues,
the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Siena will open the selection for a new fellowship position of 1 year (with monthly salary) by the end of January. I would like to bring this opportunity to your attention in case some graduated students (master level) are interested to apply.
The topics of the research (related to the WiNeMo COST action, http://cost-winemo.org/) will be:
1) Relay-based cellular systems to improve the performance of future 4G heterogeneous systems.
2) Capacity comparison between WiMAX and LTE
3) Study if the new WiMAX air interface based on the IEEE 802.16m-2011 standard
Requested Qualifications:
- 5 year degree in networking, electrical engineering, or equivalent
- Basic knowledge on wireless networking and communications
- Good knowledge of the ns2 simulation tool and Matlab
