Information and communication technologies for digital transformation

Innovation, prototyping and knowledge transfer

The first part of the lecture will be devoted to current and future information and communication technologies (ICT) for digital transformation, such as the Internet of things (IoT), cyber-physical systems, blockchain and cybersecurity. Different application domains, i.e. industry and smart cities and communities, with many examples of R&D projects, will be presented.

With the changing role of universities and a great demand for skilled ICT talents, the integration of interdisciplinary research with industry challenges for both-way knowledge transfer has become necessary. A technologically supported environment that includes Makerlab, Digital innovation Hub and Interdisciplinary projects will be presented in the second part of the lecture.
