Software Developer for prototypes of mobile and web applications
The project Madeira Life, a collaboration of Madeira-ITI, Madeira Tecnopolo, ZON Madeira, and Carnegie Mellon University, is searching for an enthusiastic computer science engineer to join the research team on this project on a one-year contract.
The work in this position as research assistant will be hands on, in close collaboration with the other team members, and under the supervision of the PI of the project. Duties include: development and evaluation of software for innovative research prototypes in Madeira Life.
The successful candidate will:
- Have strong written and spoken English skills.
- Have an MSc in Computer Science (current Master students are welcome, but please consider your workload - this is a full-time job).
- Preferably have knowledge in mobile and web development and web services, and possibly in video processing.
- Have willingness to learn and enthusiasm to participate in teamwork.
Stipend
The stipend for this position, in the form of a scholarship from Madeira Tecnopolo, will be established in accordance with the degree and competences of the selected candidate, with a maximum of € 1274 per month (tax exempt).
