Resumo:
As technology continues to evolve, the abundance of information available to users has significantly expanded. This growth has paralleled an increasing need to tailor user interactions and sift through irrelevant data. User Profiles, typically defined as compilations of pertinent attributes about users and their interests, are integral to the process of personalization. This dissertation is a component of the broader KBAI Smart Ed (KBAI-SE) project and centers on the creation of a dynamic user profiling algorithm. This algorithm is designed to operate within three distinct use cases: project management, news recommendation, and tourism activity recommendation. Additionally, the dissertation will encompass an article that comprehensively covers the current state of the art in constructing and maintaining these files, referred to as User Modeling. This article will have a primary focus on the elements required for establishing a dynamic process capable of adapting to the evolution of users over time, a phenomenon termed Profile Dynamics. Moreover, the article will explore the diverse categories of systems in which User Profiles can be implemented to enable effective personalization.
