Universidade da Madeira is hosting the international event Design Now Jam next 20th and 21st of May and calls for participation of students and graduates (for maximum 2 years) from Design and Engineering.
Design Jams are intensive workshops whose aim is to explore and analyze complex ecosystems by building on each other’s ideas in order to discover and prototype innovative solutions. “When Production goes within the city” is the title of this jam that focuses on the relationship between service design and the new models of production-distribution.
All projects from the Jam will be shown at the International Triennale di Milano exhibition in Milan, Triennale di Milano (September 2016). This is a great chance to give visibility to your work, your name and university at an international event!
Two student jammers will be selected from the Design Now Jam - Madeira to attend the Design Now Summer Camp* at Polifactory of Politecnico di Milano, from the 8th to the 16th of July 2016. Check all info at www.design-now.org
* The selected students will be covered of the costs of attending the summer school (materials, visits to FabLabs, teaching hours), but not of flights and accomodation. [I can help in keeping these costs very low though thanks to my contacts in Milan].
Design Now Jam will be an opportunity to work in team with other students and graduates, moreover to get inspiration and feedback on your project by professors and researchers from different fields (from Design and Engineering).
